How does this tip calculator split the bill?
It adds the tip percentage to the bill for a total, then divides that total by the number of people to show each person's share.

Does the number of people need to be whole?
Yes. You cannot split between a fractional number of people, so enter a whole number such as 2, 3, or 4.
