FAQ
How do I enter expenses in this expense calculator?
Put one expense per line as a name, a comma, and an amount, for example Rent, 15000. The tool reads each line and adds the amounts.
Does the Expense Calculator send my data to a server?
No. The Expense Calculator runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript; the values you enter never leave your device and nothing is uploaded or saved.
What does surplus or deficit mean here?
Surplus is income minus expenses when income is higher; deficit is the shortfall when expenses exceed income. The tool also shows expenses as a percentage of income.
Why was a line rejected?
Each line must be exactly a name and a numeric amount. Lines missing the amount, missing the name, or containing extra commas are flagged so you can fix them.
