About this calculator
Use the TDEE Calculator to work out your TDEE. It reads your body weight, standing height, age and sex, computes your total daily energy expenditure in kcal/day with your Mifflin–St Jeor BMR multiplied by your activity factor, and shows the result clearly labelled. Because the calculation happens in your browser, your figures never leave the page and there is nothing to install.
Activity multipliers are broad averages, so two people with the same TDEE can have different real needs. Adjust based on how your weight actually trends over a few weeks.

FAQ
How is TDEE estimated?
We calculate BMR with the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, then multiply by an activity factor between 1.2 (sedentary) and 1.9 (very active) to approximate total daily burn.
Which activity level should I pick?
Choose the option that reflects your whole week including work. Most people with desk jobs and a few workouts fall between light and moderate.
How do I use TDEE for weight goals?
Eat near TDEE to maintain, below it to lose, and above it to gain. A deficit or surplus of about 500 kcal/day shifts weight gradually.
Does the TDEE Calculator send my data to a server?
No. The TDEE Calculator runs entirely in your browser — your inputs never leave your device, and nothing is uploaded or stored.
Worked example
With a BMR of 1,600 kcal and a 'lightly active' factor of 1.375: TDEE ≈ 1,600 × 1.375 = 2,200 kcal/day. Estimate only.
