FAQ
Which grade scale does this grade calculator use?
You choose: a US letter scale (A to F), Indian percentage bands (A+, A, B ...), or UK honours classes (First, 2:1, 2:2 ...). The same percentage maps to different grades on each.
Does the Grade Calculator send my data to a server?
No. The Grade Calculator runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript; the values you enter never leave your device and nothing is uploaded or saved.
How is the percentage calculated?
It divides marks obtained by total marks and multiplies by 100, so 85 out of 100 is 85%.
Why does my letter grade differ from a friend's?
Grade boundaries vary by scale and by institution. This tool uses common bands for each scale, but your school or university may set its own cut-offs.
