Estimate only — not investment advice. EPF returns depend on the notified interest rate and contribution rules, which change over time; verify the current rate before relying on this.

Technical notes
Wage components are not necessarily limited to the payslip basic-pay line. Current Labour Code wage rules and any applicable add-back of excluded allowances must be considered when determining the contribution base. This form accepts that prepared base and does not calculate it from a salary breakup.

FAQ
How is the EPF balance estimated under Indian rules?
The model rounds each 12% contribution and the applicable 8.33% EPS allocation to whole rupees, adds employee EPF and the remaining employer EPF, and projects those deposits using an assumed constant monthly-compounded return. It assumes EPS eligibility and current-period rules, not an exact EPFO statement.
Does the EPF calculator india send my salary to a server?
No. The EPF calculator india computes everything in your browser; your salary and years are never uploaded.
Why is the employer's EPS shown separately?
For this EPS-eligible illustration, the employer pension allocation is 8.33% of wages up to ₹25,000, rounded to the nearest rupee, under the ceiling effective 17 September 2026. It is separate from the EPF corpus. Eligibility exceptions and higher-pension arrangements require their own rules.
Why might my real EPF be higher?
Actual results can be higher or lower because contributions, eligibility, wage bases and declared annual interest can change. The projection keeps your supplied assumptions fixed and simplifies statutory interest crediting.
