Calculations use the calendar only and do not adjust for time-zone shifts unless a field asks for a zone.

Worked example
If you enter a start date of 15 January 2026 and add 45 days, the calculator counts forward across the end of January (16 days remaining in the month) and through February (28 days in 2026, which is not a leap year), landing on 1 March 2026. Counting is inclusive of whole days only, so the time of day is ignored.
FAQ
How are months and years added?
Months and years are added with end-of-month clamping: January 31 plus one month becomes February 29 in a leap year, or February 28 otherwise — never March.
Can I subtract instead of add?
Yes. Choose Subtract and the same day, month, and year amounts are removed from your start date.
Do the fields accept decimals?
No. Enter whole numbers only; decimals and partial periods are rejected so the result is always an exact calendar date.
